This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students will have to hang from the ceiling, sit on the floor, or share chairs if chairs are not provided for them to sit on and stat!
My second grade students love to learn and I love to teach.
However, in tough economic times I think that even chairs are seen as a luxury item. My large inner-city school district has fallen upon tough times, too. Often, when chairs get broken they are not replaced or are replaced with chairs that are too large or too small for my children. Tragically, the replacement chairs are often 30 years or older cracked, bent, and unsafe.
My Project
Please help fund the chairs that I am requesting for my students. My wonderful children need the chairs to sit on in table groups, centers, and to use for day to day activities. I have discovered that given the right supplies my students can achieve all that I ask of them. I ask a lot of them and they deliver!

My students need the chairs to not stand and deliver but sit and deliver. I will not have to hear I can't find a chair ever again if this project is funded. My students thank you and I thank you, too.
