This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students are so creative and love using washable markers and dry erase markers to write, draw, and create.

Markers are a great writing tool and one of the easiest for little learners to use, the problem is that marker caps often go missing because they roll away under furniture or just all together disappear.

When this happens our markers dry out!

I would love to give my students marker parkers to keep sets of markers together and prevent the caps from going missing and our markers drying out.

Ideally I would like to have a set of 5 marker parkers in our small group space for our washable markers and a set of 5 for our dry erase markers. I would also like to put a set in each of our centers, as students are encouraged to write and draw in each of out center spaces. I also included metal cabinets so we have a place to put our new materials, as well as a foam picture frame craft to send home promotion photos at the end of the year!
