This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What makes my students special? My students are special needs student who find learning difficult. Even though they struggle, they never give up. I am amazed everyday by their tenacity and work ethic. They strive everyday to overcome obstacles from home to come to school and then have to deal with their own learning issues. However, none of that stops them. They show up everyday, prepared for school, ready to be successful. Even when they do not master an assignment, and I give it back to re-do, they do! I am not saying they don't complain, or not want to revise their work, but they know in order to be successful, this is what they must do!
My Project
Having ink in our classroom printer does not just benefit my own students in my class, but the whole 6th grade as well. There are 85 sixth grade students, with only 5 of them in my immediate class, I am able to help out the rest of the students and the teachers by printing worksheets as well as assessments for them. With the ink running out and no funding for more ink, I am the only resource for the teachers to use!
By having people donate to my project I am teaching my kids that we are indeed a team!
By helping not only them but ALL the students in the grade, we all can benefit from being thoughtful and unselfish. Please help us to not let our ideas disappear because we have no ink!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
