it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are a special bunch they are committed to making the basketball program, the school and the world a better place. The main objective is to use basketball as a motivational tool for academics and get everyone accepted into a four year school. These young men are great student-athletes who believe in hard work and persistence. These student-athletes will be great advocates for society, which is what makes them special. Our students are held to a high standard in our school. The school community works diligently to hold our student-athletes to the highest of standards as well as enriching the school culture.
My Project
This project is a project that is very much needed for the overall well-being of our students. Our students are very young and we do not want to strain their muscles with weights at such a young age, so the best next thing are resistance bands. These resistance bands can be used for a multitude of things. For example, flexibility is one of the main components of any athletes' regimen and these bands can be used for self-assisted stretching. These bands can also be used for for muscular endurance and strength with running, squat jumps and assisted pull ups and push ups. Our student-athletes are aware of what hardcore training looks and feel like. These resources can be used in various ways to promote health. These bands will have the same affect as modern day technology that cost thousands of dollars.
