Help me give my students a way to follow along with lessons and worksheets. As visual learners, it's difficult to complete notes if they can't see where to write. Without a smartboard, they can benefit with this item.
I teach math to special education students in a public high school setting. Students have many classifications including learning disability, emotional disturbance, visual impairments, and other health impairments. Our classroom is small and does not have any technology (one of the 4 classrooms without a smart board). My students struggle with basic math concepts and can benefit from enlarged materials, guided notes, and hands-on activities. All of my students work hard to succeed in the classroom and continue to stay motivated.
My Project
Students with visual impairments will be able to follow along with guided notes and fill in blanks as the lesson flows on the board. Having this document reader will save time from the teacher checking every student's paper after each sentence is spoken. The lessons should be student centered and I have been spending too much time repeating and spelling words. By having the words on the board along with the exact image of the worksheets, students will be able to see how to complete the assignments. This will also help the teacher easily enlarge the worksheets onto the wall.
