Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

Do you remember being the student who did not have the materials needed for class?

My students are very diverse in their ethnic, cultural, and financial backgrounds.

With that said, it would be most beneficial for them to have some assistance in acquiring the materials needed for success in school. Currently, we are working on algebra. For some of my students, visual aids are essential for their learning.

My Project

With the use of TI 83 plus graphing calculators, college readiness skills will be built one algebraic equation at a time! Although I keep referring to algebra, the connections that can be made with algebra extend to geometry, number sense, and probability and statistics.

My project is important for my students' continued learning, ability to make connections, and skills acquisition.

If the use of technology is not promoted now, they may be at a loss in the near future as technology is rapidly changing our world and how we relate to it.
