Help me give my students items for maker space such as: Modeling clay, craft sticks, k'nex, gardening tools, and robotics such as Lego Spybotics. I also asked for a sewing machine to teach students who want to learn.
I get to teach an ENTIRE school of Innovators and Leaders. We are a Leader In Me School where we are inspiring a very diverse group of students to become leaders in their school, community, and world. In my classroom, the Innovation Lab, we are igniting a passion in kids to realize their ability to be Innovative in all areas of life so that they will unleash their fullest potential . Innovation means to “make new” or to take something that exists and “change it, improve it, and make it better”.
ALL students are Innovators and Leaders if you provide avenues and access to materials for enriching experiences.
We have such a diverse group of learners that rarely have opportunities outside the classroom to experience innovation. It is my mission to bring innovation to ALL of our students at our school.
My Project
I will use the makerspace supplies to encourage students to bring their innovations to life. I will use robotic systems to teach technology standards. I want each student in our school to have the opportunity to plant their own seeds with the gardening tools. Our students are rarely provided materials and opportunities to explore real life applications such as sewing, gardening, robotics, and freedom to build. The sewing machine, Lego Spybots, K'nex, and Planter cups will provide access to experiences and learning that would otherwise not exist.
Providing students with a variety of supplies will allow them to innovate to their fullest potential.
All of the items in this project will encourage curious learners to become innovative leaders.
