Donate Books for a 3rd Grade Classroom Library - New Teacher
My students need 38 books for our 3rd grade classroom library. These books show positive multicultural characters that reflect the diversity of students in my classroom.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world. - Malala Yousafzai
I hope to see this change in the lives of my students by encouraging a love of learning!
I am a new teacher in a school in which many of my students come from families that are struggling to provide their children with the basic necessities of life.
My goal is to provide my students with a rich classroom library that reflects their diverse cultures with positive characters and stories.
My Project
With the use of our classroom library, I hope to encourage my young scholars to love learning and reading. I have carefully selected books that provide positive role models to my students. And through these stories, my students will grow both academically and personally. My wish is that they see themselves reflected in the lives and stories of the characters and can relate their own personal experiences to the text and illustrations in the books.
As an avid reader myself, I have learned that we can go anywhere and do anything with the proper motivation and encouragement.
Thank you for helping to provide that motivation, encouragement, and hope to our youngest generation of learners!
