My Students

Imagine no access to technology devices, but many technology programs accessible to you. That is the dilemma that my students face daily.

My students are curious, knowledge-thirsty third graders that come from diverse backgrounds.

They love technology and love learning. Our school is located in the heart of busy Honolulu with many students that come from all over the world. We are a Title 1 school with a high population of ELL learners and students on free and reduced price meals.

My Project

The Apple iPad mini will support our math and reading program for all students. Also, they will be used for the other content subject areas. The students will be able to access technology programs which include Kid Biz, Raz-Kids, Scootpad and IXL. With the use of the Apple iPad mini, my students will not only learn about technology, but most importantly have access to it. Because we live in a technology-driven society, having access to technological tools will make my students ready for the future.

Like Nelson Mandela said, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world".

Technology is another way to enhance my students' education, so they can change the world.
