My Students

Our students come from diverse backgrounds, which is one of the best things about Doherty Elementary! Reaching all corners of the globe, we are proud to say that we represent some of the best things about America. We are a true melting pot.

Our iCenter is truly the center of our building.

Students have Media class for at least one hour every week. We build, create, research, play, code, and work with technology to create life long readers and learners.

My Project

We are in need to new iPads to support our work with coding games, bots, and STEM work. We have Chromebooks, but only the iPads have the apps that control our Ozobots and our STEM activities. iPads also offer the best coding practice with apps instead of websites, especially for our youngest learners who are still struggling to figure out how to use our Chromebooks. Our students want to code and work with STEM. They get so excited when coding activities come up, especially if we can bring out the bots! These iPads will help us to continue this work that prepares our students for this century of technology.
