My students need multicultural toys, such as, a doll set, furniture, highchair, and play people to use when in the dramatic play center.

My Students

My class is made up of 18 very energetic boys and girls. We encourage them to be themselves and to see similarities and differences in all the children in the classroom. We encourage them to break stereotypes. We want them to be accepting of other genders and cultures. We are in need of some new and updated supplies. Every year wear and tear shows it's ugly head. The children enjoy what we have in the classroom and what we use outside for fun.

My Project

My classroom has a great set of blocks but we don't have any toy people to play with. Often the children build houses or buildings but have no people to move around and use to act out scenes. We have a doll house and a tree house that were both donated to us but we have no furniture in the doll house or the tree house. We are in need of multicultural dolls to represent all the cultures within our classroom. I enjoy watching both the boys and girls role play with the dolls and people figures all throughout the day. These multicultural folks and figures will help the children understand about diversity and similarities with other cultures and people
