My Students

My students have a great love for learning and exploration of new ideas, especially those that relate to technology.

They come from diverse backgrounds and have many different learning styles, strengths, and needs. They learn best when they are able to explore and create their own learning through engaging experiences. The more excited they become about a project or topic, the more they are able to gain from it.

We are located in a rural town and are a very close knit community. Many of the families at our school have been in the district for generations.

My Project

My students have been working hard all year to create projects using the google platform on basic Chromebooks. They have mainly been using Docs and Slides while supplementing with images or videos from the internet to create final projects and presentations. They have become very skilled with the technology and their creativity has shown through.

The Microsoft Surface Go with type cover and stylus would take their creativity, technology skills, and final projects to the next level.

They would be able to create more innovative projects using the apps, camera, other features, and programs available on the Surface Go. With the touch screen capability, they would be able to add more details and features to their projects. The Surface Go would also foster cooperative collaboration as the students would work together to plan, create, and present projects to the class.

With technology advancing on a daily basis, I believe it is my job to give students the tools they need and exposure to new technology in order to be successful and prepare for their future.
