My Students

I teach in a close-knit rural school district in Oklahoma. Our Early Childhood Center is filled with vibrant, energetic, fun loving pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten students. They are all spirited four, five and six year olds that love to come to school and learn every day. Our building is centered around young children and their learning process.

I try very hard to make every day a new adventure for my sweet class.

We do many high energy, fun-filled learning centers and whole group activities.

My Project

The individual writing journals in this project will help my kindergarten students get a jump start on writing in a journal and in the habit of daily writing. We do Alphabet Boot Camp the first 26 days of school, a different letter each day. Having the journals to write in daily will help us get into the habit of writing our thoughts down on paper. The fact that the journals are organized by letters, will fit right into our beginning of the year curriculum. The ink pads will be used at center time by for stamping letters and words on paper.
