This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I requested are the latest release of the Dogman series of books by Dave Pilkey. I will be using these books to motivate my students to read chapter books. These types of books are written in the comic book style format and have funny situations about a half-man, half-dog, and his adventures as a cop. I am also requesting an external hard drive because the school computer that I use does not have enough storage and the school cannot afford to buy teachers a new one. To be able to store my students' work, I need to find a way to keep the documents. The external storage will help in this way.
My students have been captivated by Dogman and this series has enhanced their love of reading.
Therefore, this is why it is my goal to try to buy the latest releases to have my library shelves stocked with these books. My students are special because they have taken to draw stories based on the Dogman characters. They love to give me pictures of the various characters and explain to me their stories. I am glad to bring to life their imagination with this Dogman series of books.
In addition, I would like to have STEM building blocks to use with my students as they learn 3D shapes in geometry. With these STEM blocks, students can make models of shapes to see the difference between 2D and 3D shapes.
