Murphy Middle School is a small rural school in Murphy, NC. The students here have a wide range of interests and talents. We have athletes, young inventors, curious mechanics, budding novelists, artists, future teachers, and even possibly even the next president in our ranks!
Students at Murphy Middle School are not only taught to work hard in their academic curriculum, but to discover their own talents and interests.
They are taught that each of them matter and each of them have a very special and important place in this world.
My Project
The students at Murphy Middle School work hard and play hard! We are so fortunate to have a scheduled gym class every day for every student in grades 6-8. Our gym equipment is beginning to show just how hard they do play!
You should see these students in a game of speedball - they take no prisoners!
Speedball is more intense than your average dodgeball game. Imagine dodgeball with more balls - A LOT MORE BALLS! This has become the game of choice at our school, with students begging to play! Speedball promotes agility and strategy while getting your heart pumping!
But, because it is a favorite, our current balls are in pretty sad shape. The covers have come off many of them and chunks of foam are beginning to come off as well. We need more balls!
