I teach a rockstar group of fifth graders who are eager and motivated learners.

My students come from all areas of town, mostly from an urban setting. I want my classroom to be a place where they can comfortably learn in a safe and exciting environment. This group is extremely diverse in their special learning needs and abilities. Together, as a class, we strive to work together as a team and become the best we can possibly be.

My Project

In my classroom I encourage constant discussion and group work. I believe that it is so important for students' learning that they are collaborating and sharing their ideas. Therefore, a document camera would greatly impact their learning and allow for the sharing of new ideas. With a document camera they would be able to present their work for the whole class to see. They can not only tell their peers what they are thinking, but also show them.

A new document camera will allow students to communicate more effectively and share their ideas and thoughts with the whole class.

A document camera will not only positively impact our math lessons, but also our science classes. There are times when I demonstrate a science experiment that is difficult for the whole class to see, but with a document camera I can easily show it to the whole class.
