Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 100 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. They also come from a variety of different economic backgrounds where some may receive a backpack of food on the weekend.

Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best each and every day.

I am so proud of all my students’ hard work, drive, and dedication they possess while striving to have a successful future.

My Project

The document camera will be used daily during instruction to help students learn skills being modeled through the camera. The document camera will also help our students improve their strategies and skills in reading.

The document camera will allow my students to actually SEE the strategies

being taught while teaching a text.

Through the use of a document camera, I can deliver high-quality Special Education services to my virtual students learning from home. When the students are able to return back to school safely, we will continue to use the document camera to implement quality instruction.
