Help me give my students an amazing remote learning experience with a document camera, which I can use to model various lessons throughout distance learning.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
During the Pandemic it's been very challenging to teach from home in a restricted environment and with little resources. Most of my students come from a low income families and diverse backgrounds with great parental support. I have a wide range of academic abilities ranging from low to high. My students are 8 years old. My eager students would better interact with more resources available to them, as to mimic my in-class teaching style. I have tried websites to include in my lessons however its very hard for students to go in between screens and stay on task.
My Project
With the use of a document camera we could accomplish so many of the same requirements Teachers are responsible for when physically in class. I would be able to read books to students as they follow along and see pictures and text via the document camera. We could also do guided step by step drawings or guided craft projects. Especially with math lessons it would come in so handy! I would be able to work on the problem of the day with them too! The possibilities are endless. The document camera is the perfect tool!
