Help me give my students the best possible remote learning experience, using a document camera to read them books and do STEM projects to help them with 'experience sharing'!
My students are an AMAZING group of kids who are enrolled in a specialized program for children with 'high functioning' Autism.
As part of their program, they attend a social group to help them navigate the 'social world'.
I guide them through their difficulties with communication, perspective-taking, problem-solving, understanding their emotions, and being part of a group.
Providing my students with visuals, an important resource for them, through books, schedules and task analysis', I will be able to remotely support them.
These kids are smart and funny and teach me something every time we are together! Their interests are diverse and passionate! Please help me support their needs while keeping them safe!
My Project
My students are part of a specialized program where I help them learn social language/pragmatics.
Using visuals is a crucial component in the program.
Engaging them in activities where they work together helps them to solve problems, see different perspectives, share ideas, and explore the social world.
Using a document camera will assist me in being able to show/read books , demonstrate STEM projects they create by working together via remote instruction, and providing visuals. Using a document camera will lend itself to being a main component of remote teaching.
