Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My classroom needs a document camera. My art class is honoring social distancing, but my students are having a difficult time seeing everything I am teaching. It would be nice to have a document camera to project up on my TV screen. I imagine that this will help them learn some small tasks like sewing and drawing so they can see up-close while doing proper social distancing.
My Project
I teach elementary art which includes kindergarten through 5th grade. In our new normal, I have to keep social distancing in our classroom. I am finding that it is challenging for students to see what I am drawing or sewing. We need a document camera for students to see and understand instructions clearly. I can use the document camera to enhance instruction, and students can use it to show off work and ask for help. We have a TV in our art studio, so we just need the doc camera to project images.
