Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a dual-immersion school, where every student is learning a second language. When learning in a second language, having visual aids is a crucial part of understanding what is being presented in the classroom. In the early years of learning in a new language, visual cues are one of the strongest tools students can use in order to understand new concepts and vocabulary.

I plan to use the document camera for presenting material in all subject areas in order to enhance comprehensive input.

The students will also use the document camera to practice their presentation skills in both languages, as they can show their work and explain their thinking to their classmates. I have observed students doing this in other classrooms, and I can't wait to see my students sharing their ideas with their peers in an engaging and interactive way!
