Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Since we have begun Remote Learning due to the spread Covid19, our teachers, administration, school-aides, and paraprofessionals have been working around the clock to get our students up and running. While not every student in our community has access to technology and internet access, we have all been doing our best to continue connecting with students personally and academically. The students at our school are eager to continue the work they started. We will get through this bump in the road and continue to wish everyone continued health. I am so proud to be part of this team.

My Project

Remote Learning is challenging and not every lesson can be translated onto a screen. Help our students gain access to their work by helping us out with a document camera. We use document cameras daily to help kids work through their process of learning. With a document camera, I will be able to share read-alouds, reading and writing workshop lessons, math strategies and so many necessary visuals. A document camera will allow me to provide scaffolds for students who need additional support in their learning. I am an Instructional Coach and the work I share with teachers impacts over 25 classrooms. Your generous donations and positive thoughts are appreciated!
