My Students
Our students come from the inner city. They are good children and they are eager to learn. Many students come from challenging backgrounds and they depend on school to be a safe and important part of their day. Our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Our students are in serious need of many school related items.
The students are kind and compassionate. They work and play well together. Most importantly, they believe in the community and they love school. New supplies will help them on their way.
My Project
Our students need a document camera so that printed material can be displayed on a large screen to the whole group. Document Cameras are an important classroom tool that is used in every area of curriculum and instruction. We need One Document Camera for our classroom.
For example, the Document Camera will be used in reading to display text and illustrations.
In writing, the students will see the teacher demonstrate proper handwriting technique, paper orientation, and make sure students do not write in the margins. In math, the camera will allow demonstrations in addition to showing how to regroup by carrying. In subtraction, the Document Camera will allow for demonstrations for problems with regrouping and borrowing. The Document Camera has no limits in allowing for rich learning experiences.
