Document Camera for Math Classroom

My Students

I teach 8th grade math to a group of kind and caring students that are eager to learn. I am especially impressed with their perseverance and commitment. The students are willing to dive into any challenge that is presented to them.

My students are creative and love to learn by exploring and discovering.

I make math fun and interesting for the students by combining technology, blended learning, project-based learning and interactive activities. Making math class more active has increased the students' interest in the content.

My Project

My students would like a document camera for the classroom. The document camera provides a real-time projection of any document that is placed underneath it. I will be able to take a student's written work and place it under the camera for the whole class to examine.

When students are able to see other student's examples and methods for solving mathematical problems, it helps to increase their understanding of the concept.

In addition to using the document camera for real-time project, it will also allow me to take pictures of student work. The pictures are helpful in saving student work for future use, building a portfolio of student work, and providing evidence of exemplars.
