This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Each day is filled with math, hands-on activities, and real world examples. I would like to provide my students with more of those, and, put more time into activities, one-on-one help, and support to help each student master the math content.

Our school is a public charter school and, like all schools, cannot always afford the technology needed in every class.

We are from a low-income area and many students struggle with below grade level math concepts. When it comes to math most students do not have a support system at home that can help them. A lot of these students struggle with math, and I would like to help them achieve more. They would benefit greatly from more technology in the class, as well as lessons outside class through a recognizable face. Ours is a great, very supportive school, and I love everyone there. I want to help make the school as awesome as I know it can be, and to be a part of it for years to come.

My Project

This Ipevo document projector will allow me to create more accurate cost effective visual aids, as well as being able to monitor the students and their understanding of the materials. The main purpose is to provide support inside and outside the class. This document projector allows me to record videos that students can view at home. Students will learn from these videos instead of with traditional homework. They can then spend more time in class mastering the concepts through individualized work, projects, and activities that fully support the content. Rather than do work at home with no support, they can work on all assignments, projects, and activities in a fully supported learning environment. Also, the projector will allow me to show students how to compile notes. I can also project workbooks pages that are very limited which does not allow access for everyone.

When students are able to take charge of their learning, are able to go back at their pace and watch a lesson over and over, then they can grow in a safe environment.

With this document projector students will be able to learn and review without the fear and intimidation that comes from feeling like you are holding a class back. Without question each student can clearly see what is expected of them. Each student counts and matters.
