Document Camera for Distance Learning

My Students

Due to the pandemic, our school was forced to close its doors and school resume from our homes. While I have a few resources at home, it is difficult to share with the students because they can not see the items I am holding in my hand.

A document camera would provide my students with a clear vision of learning materials.

The camera would allow me to share game pieces and fun learning objects with them from a distance. My students will gain perspective; they ask all the time 'can you make that bigger' or ' I can not see the whole thing'.

My Project

Teaching from home has been an interesting experience and has presented some challenges. One challenge is providing material that the students can see well in order to participate fully.

A document camera would allow students to be more engaged with lessons.

They will now be able to see flashcards, interactive pieces, and word cards better. This project allows me to provide more interactive lessons which will promote more student engagement. With students more engaged, they are more likely to retain information and improve academic achievement. In addition, the headphones will allow the students to hear me more clearly and me hear them in return.
