My students need to have the use of a classroom document camera with a projector to share work immediately with the class,and to access a piece of shared work, and ease of accessibility.

My Students

I have a classroom full of second language learners. One way that these students can feel engaged and a part of the class is to be able to show their work first, and then begin to add more language. It is a way for everyone to feel connected to the classroom, encouraging participation in a fun way.

My students are all from varied backgrounds, cultures, ethnic groups, languages, and economic status within an urban school district in New England.

Many of the students are new to the US with varying degrees of English. We do the best we can with what we have, but are behind in the area of technology in the classroom. Having these devices would make learning more engaging and interactive for all the students in the classroom.

My Project

The students will use the classroom document camera with a projector a way to view materials that the teacher has to present, we will be able to connect to the Internet through the computer and view it on one large screen. It will allow as to view individual work together and view classroom work done collectively.

Students will become more involved with participation and become more engaged in their learning.

The added benefit of having a large visual that we all can see at the very same time helps all students stay on task and motivated to continue to learn and share their ideas during each lesson throughout the entire day.
