Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with 11 Title 1 School students and love what I do. My students mean the world to me when it comes to exposing them to new things.

Most of my students are English Language Learners, others with special needs, free breakfast/ lunch, and 75% of my students come from low poverty environments.

In order for the students to bloom, we will need additional resources since this will be our first year using the Creative Curriculum.

My students come to school eager and ready to learn every day with happiness in their hearts regardless of their circumstances. Most of my students experience difficulty with communication, social/emotional skills, academics, help self skills, and behavior.

I want to help these students in every way that I can to help them be successful and know that through it all, something positive will come out of any situation they may face in life.

My Project

A Docu Cam will make a difference in my student's handwriting and the ways they count their manipulative. Using a hand-held dry erase board has been very difficult for my pre-k students. Some of my students are writing certain letters/numbers in the opposite direction. It has been difficult to make letters, shapes, and numbers without them falling apart when we use play-doh. My students are unable to see me form the letters, shapes, or numbers together. My students work extremely hard when it comes to learning the letters and their names.
