My Students
Our young student wrestlers come from a variety of social and cultural backgrounds and the desire to try something new has been a common theme for these young students.
The wrestling program in our small community has just been starting to build up with the hard work and perseverance of some dedicated coaches, parents, and students.
The athletes work hard in school all day, and at night they work hard at practice. Many of these students are trying this for the first time.
My Project
The team practices 3 times a week and has about 6 weekend tournaments during the winter season where many teams compete. This program is just starting up and lacks the supplies to keep our athletes safe. The mop, mat tape, and cleaners will allow us to clean and prepare the wrestling room for practices.
As these young wrestlers get ready for their matches, we can see the determination in their eyes and desire to do their best.
The jump ropes, cones, whistles will help with drills that are run during practices to prep the athletes for their upcoming matches. The safety headgear will protect the athletes during practice and tournament matches.
