Help me give my students the items they need to start a school garden and a camera to document their findings and experiences.

My Project

Do you remember what it is like to dig in the dirt? Find all kinds of creatures and feel all kinds of textures? Well I would love for my students to have this experience at school. They will be able to find out how we get our food, what it takes to grow something and how wonderful it tastes once it is picked. I am hoping with these items, we can start our school garden, grow a salad and document it with our new camera.

My students have read about farmers, but now they will be able to become one and take pride in completing the process, start to finish, of growing their own vegetables to create a salad.

We hope we can document all our experiences with a camera and share it with our families. Not only will they have a blast doing this, they will be writing about it, doing science and math with our garden as well.
