In our area the winters can be very cold. With that being said, we are not allowed to explore outside during these temperatures unless all of the children have the proper clothing needed to do so, including hats, gloves and scarves.
Exploring snow in early education is beneficial as it provides a great sensory experience.
It can help children practice their fine motor, language development, scientific reasoning, creativity, and socialization skills.
Being able to have the children be in an actual winter phenomenon can encourage curiosity about the world around them.
Not all of our families are able to provide these needed items for their children and we are looking to help ease that burden.
