Help me give my students clay 'build a snowman' kits to teach retelling.
FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Saks's classroom raised $169

My Project
I am a speech and language pathologist in a Title I school in an urban district. I should also point out that we are in a southern city and do not get to see much, if any, snow! I love reading books and doing hands- on lessons with my students with disabilities, about snow in the winter.
These adorable snowman kits will help me teach the students about sequencing and retelling.
Many of my students with speech and language delays have sequencing and retelling goals on their IEPs. I will be able to use these snowman kits after we have read stories about snowmen. They will be able to reenact how to build a snowman, step-by -step. Then, they can tell me the steps in the process in the correct order. This activity is so fun and engaging, they won't even know they are practicing a crucial skill.
