My Students
My students are girls from a high-crime, a socially impoverished community in the Atlanta area. I love how they are driven to rise above their circumstances to accomplished great success. We have had a 100% graduation rate for the past two years even in the face of a pandemic. They are resilient, relentless, and resourceful often staying after school and attending Saturday programs to remediate difficult content. They need your help to improve their non-fiction comprehension skills. Thanks for your support!
My Project
This project will offer my STEAM all-girls school personal specific options for demonstrating their scientific and mathematical minds. Girls are often not regarded as scientists. They may be intimidated by the challenge of competing with their male peers. Here we removed that emotionally intimidating challenges so that they can find their strength in their own greatness beyond their looks. We intend to demonstrate women as engineers in every walk of life. This book provides first-hand non-fiction exposure to women who were successful beyond a variety of obstacles. Their minds and persistence allowed all of us to benefit as a nation. Thank you for helping us to create more positive contributors to the STEAM world!
