My Project

"Mrs. Hall, do you have anything to eat?" is a question I hear all day, everyday in my classroom and in the hallway in my school. Some students may be hungry due to arriving late to school, after breakfast is closed. Many students are not in control of how early they get to school.

This can cause many interruptions in the classroom that includes students refusing to do work due to hunger.

One thing I want to help in is making sure I have something for them to eat to hold them over until lunch or until they get back home. With their hunger appeased, we can focus more on the lesson rather than on behavioral issues that can be solved with providing the means to the solution. I also want to use some of the items as incentives for good behavior and a job well done in class. This can help with class participation efforts as well as adding to the overall positivity of the classroom. With your donation, this project can definitely help many of my students.
