My Students

My students are amazing human beings! They are full of life and have endless potential to do so many wonderful things. My school is a Title I school in a poverty stricken community. Our school receives a grant that allows every child to have free breakfast and lunch served at school due to food insecurities at home. Many of our parents struggle to help meet the needs of school supplies and the needs of their children. Regardless of these circumstances, my students overcome! They are learning how to face challenges and grow stronger academically, socially and emotionally preparing them for the next level of life.

I believe that these students deserve every opportunity this world has to offer and I am determined to help them get it.

These students can change the world with their brilliant minds and can climb out of the cycle of poverty through the gift of education. They will learn that the world is theirs for the taking with hard work, dedication, and knowledge.

My Project

We can only teach so much. Books can teach what history has taught us. This project could have the most impact a project has ever had. With these two collections, the world may never be the same.

Books can take students to places they've only dreamed about!

It's been my goal this year to make reading a priority and I've seen just how much my students have read so far. With your help, my students can read diverse books, with diverse characters, with diverse genres, and most importantly, with diverse lessons. These books are award winners, classics, non-fiction, fantasy, and DIVERSE.
