Help me give my students books that they won't want to set down!
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Moran's classroom raised $426

My Students
While my students come from high poverty backgrounds, the challenges they may face on a daily basis have not affected their passion for learning. I teach multiple subjects in a self-contained gifted 7th and 8th grade students who have a love for learning.
My students need access to more literature to make their learning more engaging and relevant to them.
My students have a passion for learning and I strive to create an environment that is relevant to them to help engage them in their education.
My Project
I teach students of diverse backgrounds and most of the literature available to them is not culturally relevant. I have purchased some literature for my classroom that is relevant to them and when do have these type of books in the classroom, I am unable to keep them on the shelves.
I have found that culturally diverse books help to instill in my students a passion for reading a love of literature.
I need more books that my students won't want to set down to help instill in them a love of reading! I would love to have small sets of highly engaging middle school books to be used by students in book groups in my classroom. We will not only be reading these books but engaging in discussions on the issues facing students.
