I teach a class of diverse students with big imaginations and even bigger hearts. The unique qualities of each child is what makes our classroom community so special. I love the energy they bring to class each day.
My goal is to ensure each child recognizes their value, sees their potential, and strives for growth.
My classroom is full of eager minds who learn best through hands-on activities, student based learning, and open discussion. As a team, my students and I work hard each day to better ourselves academically, socially, and emotionally. Learning and growing alongside our future generation is truly a rewarding journey.
My Project
Reading is fundamental. It is one of the main building blocks of education, and yet, for some children, reading is a chore. I believe that this negative mindset can be reversed. The key to this reversal is simple.
In order to promote a love for reading, teachers must ensure that the right books are placed in the right hands.
Unfortunately, there is no "one size fits all" in the world of reading. Diverse readers require diverse books. A child must find the material they are reading relatable and relevant before they can get lost in it's pages. Funding this project is not just about books on a shelf. It is about a student's positive experience with education's greatest asset, reading.
