it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are enthusiastic learners. However, coming back from a whole year of learning at home has been an adjustment. Flexible seating options will be a perfect way to help their growing minds and body as they learn. They are young learners with the desire to learn but school is still new to them. While the classroom is a space of comfort and warmth they still need flexible options to be successful in their learning environment.
My students love to wiggle and squirm throughout the day and by providing my young learners with the option of flexible seating, it will bring forth full and active engagement to optimize their learning.
The flexible seating will give my young learners the movement they require throughout their learning day. The balance balls can be used to help them regulate their wiggly bodies to stay focused. The stools will be used during small group instruction as a break from traditional seating. The portable lap desk can be used all day such as independent reading time, technology time, and whole group learning.
