My Project

Hello! I am a second-year third-grade teacher and I am reaching out to ask you to support my classroom. I am trying to source books that are diverse and represent the students in my classroom. Third grade is such an important time to develop a lifelong love of literature.

My students of color deserve books they can see themselves in.

I teach in an urban school in Philadelphia and there aren't a lot of resources readily available to excite and engage new readers. I have some books in my classroom, but there aren't many that have characters of color. I would love to show my students that they belong by having books that represent them.
