Diverse Reads for Diverse Readers

Help me give my students the opportunity to foster their love of reading through bilingual books!

My Project

I would love to be able to provide my MLL's (Multilingual Learners) with additional books to be able to take home and read with their family. Currently my students take home my Spanish-English books to read daily. Some of my students love it so much that they have started to take two home every day and it's the first thing they talk to me about in the morning! Through these books, my students love being able to show off their English decoding skills at home. After they have read it in English, a family member is able to read the book back to them in Spanish. This helps support vocabulary and comprehension and gets students excited about reading.

My students have fallen in love with these stories and I would love to continue to provide them with this opportunity.

Unfortunately, my collection of bilingual books is not very large and my students are close to reading through them all.

With your help, we can create a bigger collection for my students to choose from.
