My Project

The room lights up with each book I pull out. I love giving them a chance to see them in the stories I read. It also provides them a window into the lives of others.

Picture books open the door to such complex and rich discussion within the classroom.

Through books, I am able to open the eyes of my students to see others. It allows them to show empathy and to view the world from the lens of something else. This project is special because it affords my kids a window into a diverse world.
