Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are all unique and are a bunch of sweethearts. We live in the tip of Texas where poverty limits students’ abilities and experiences. My students love to ask questions. In this new technology era, we need to keep busy and active. We must keep our memories with social distancing. I love my job and enjoy teaching them constantly making them think outside the box. There are not enough hours in the day to get it all and quench their thirst for knowledge. By taking the time to dedicate I make sure I make my part in creating a kinder world. Today they are my students tomorrow they will be tomorrow's leaders.

My Project

My students need to hear daily affirmations to help build a strong social and emotional foundation. They need to hear positive and diverse literature about their heritage. Students need to hear grade-level stories about becoming Diverse Leaders today! Teaching today is very challenging. I need to teach with my mask on and it's hard for the students to comprehend what I am teaching. I know that with the microphone my voice will no longer sound muffled. Students will have a better advantage of understanding all the lessons and enjoy read alouds.
