My Project
In my biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and AP Biology classes, coloring their work is a requirement for many assignments. Whether it is a cover page, a multiple line or bar graph, or a genetics cartoon, students must use a minimum of 4 colors. Each anatomy and physiology unit has several assignments where they are asked to color and label diagrams. Inevitably, the diagrams ask for something to be colored pink! There is no pink in the standard 12-color set, but there is in this teacher pack! As I looked into different colored pencil sets, I was thrilled to see that Crayola now has a Colors of the World set of 24 pencils which are designed to represent diverse skin colors and tones.
My students come from all over the world and with this set of colored pencils they will finally be able to draw something which represents themselves.
Colored pencils aren't much good without reliable pencil sharpeners, so I added those to the project as well. I look forward to seeing the amazing colorful works of art my students create using these materials. Thank you for helping my students liven up their work and make the world a brighter and more colorful place.
