This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My 6th-grade students are asking for this series. They have expressed that they can connect to Tristan Strong and would love to have physical copies of the book available.
We need diverse books that students can relate to, and this is the book they want to read.
My students are moving from reluctant readers to avid readers, but we need more books to motivate them.
Research shows that students are motivated to read when choice is included. My kiddos are asking for this series, and I want to keep their hunger for reading alive.
