Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have an energetic group of students who get to school every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where the majority of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
My students are eager to learn and try their best.
I am hoping to provide my students with what they need most! I want to make sure my students have equal access to everything they need to be successful!
My Project
Diverse books are needed now more than ever in our classrooms. My project contains a great selection of books that will represent all of my students. I want to make sure the characters in the books I selected portray their lives and experiences. These books also are relevant to the lives of my students!
These materials depict the variety of ethnic, racial and cultural groups in my classrooom and will affirm the identities of my diverse students.
Our world is beautiful and diverese and as a teacher I want to make sure to share that beauty in my calssroom.
