Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with the most bright and energetic students in the world! In my classroom, every day brings something new. Students in my classroom are bright, curious, and are always prepared to learn. Students engage in fun and interactive activities, work together to solve problems, and always do their best. The demographic of my students is 99% Latino and 1% African American, and they come from low-income homes. Even though students lack the resources, the community comes together to provide support for our students' success. Students are overcoming several barriers in their personal lives, but find a way to come to school every day with a bright smile and positive attitude.

My Project

The books that I chose for my students are diverse text that students will be able to access and learn more about diverese communities and familes. It will make a difference in my students learning because it will expose students to literature that they can relate to and have a meaningful discussion.

Now that we are moving towards virtual learning I hope to use the books to create Read-a-loud videos to share with students that they can watch and we can have meaningful discussions.

I hope for students and familes to join in watching this videos.
