My Students
I'm the proud teacher to 13 amazing students who come from a diverse background of military and non-military families who truly want the best for their children.
I have an active, inquisitive and loving group of kindergartners.
My students love moving, asking questions, and learning in a format that engages all of their senses.
While my classroom is filled with a variety of learning experiences that includes STEM, technology-based learning and small group as well as individualized instruction. I am working to create an extended version of learning for my families at home. As their teacher, I strive to create a virtual classroom that makes learning fun and engaging no matter the distance!
My Project
I am excited to bring Spring Lake's first every Free Little Library. Now that the library has been funded, I am in need of a diverse collection of books to keep the library stocked. Literacy has always been a focus for our school and community. Growing up, I remember visiting the library several times a week. With Covid, many families no longer visit the library to checkout and read books. It is my hope that the diverse collection of books that I am requesting will help meet and fill a need for students and families.
I am requesting books that will uplift students with Positive Affirmations, A Ninja who is kind and brave, a boy being proud of his hair cut and more.
These are books that I hope will get my students excited about reading and being able to connect with the characters.
Every child is excited about getting a haircut. Their hair represents their Crown as well as little girls falling in love with their hair in the story Hair Love.
I want the families of the school community to experience the love, excitement that I felt as a child when I opened a new book. I know that these books will capture not only my families' attention but also the hearts of the students who will get to read them. Families will be able to keep these books and add them to their personal home libraries. Thank you all so much for helping to fill the belly of Spring Lake's Free Little Library!
