My Project
We would love more diverse books for our diverse class. It's important to us that our class to have a library where our students feel represented in the stories. We have a limited amount of new, relevant books on racial justice and racial representation, especially for my really young readers.
Books that reflect what our population looks like are needed. Students want to know and read about people that look like them. We want our students to be able to check books out, take them home, read and share with their family. It is important that our students obtain knowledge about racial justice and representation at an early age.
