My Project

The books I’m requesting will offer my 7th grade students fresh, engaging literature that aligns with their interests. Middle schoolers are at a critical stage in developing reading habits, and having access to books that resonate with their lives and curiosities can make a lasting impact on their academic success. These materials will allow students to explore diverse perspectives and themes, enhancing their comprehension and critical thinking. By offering a variety of genres—such as adventure, fantasy, mystery, and realistic fiction—students will be more motivated to read independently. This, in turn, will strengthen their vocabulary and overall literacy skills, fostering confidence and curiosity in their learning.

My primary goal is to create a vibrant classroom library that excites students about reading.

I aim to introduce new, high-interest books that will appeal to a wide range of reading levels and backgrounds, encouraging both reluctant and avid readers to dive into literature. Ultimately, I want to cultivate a reading culture in my classroom that boosts students’ literacy, fosters creativity, and deepens their understanding of the world.

My students are passionate, curious, and eager to grow. They come from diverse backgrounds, each bringing their own unique perspectives to our classroom. Despite the challenges they face, they are resilient and driven. With the right resources, they are capable of tremendous growth. These new books will empower them to explore their interests, develop strong reading skills, and fuel their passion for learning.
