This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I serve an amazing group of students from diverse backgrounds and experiences. The best thing about this group is that they truly do come from so many places and speak so many different languages and dialects. This year, our school has welcomed more newcomer students (new to the country) than ever before.

The picture books focused on diversity requested in this project will allow my newcomer students to quickly acquire the English language and understand the importance of their contributions to our school community!

Please help me provide my immigrant students with books that mirror their lives, foster a love for reading and learning, and increase English language proficiency!
